In 1948, the United Nations declared that "Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care." Yet, to this day, more than 43 million Americans have no health insurance, and an estimated 50 million have inadequate coverage, up more than 2 million since last year.
